Now this is awesome! Canoeing
down the French Broad River on a beautiful Summer day. The mountains that surround you are gorgeous, the
sky is the perfect shade of blue and you are having the best time of your life! We offer 2 Unguided Trips
an 8 mile & a 15 mile run. All canoe adventures start 8 miles up river of Tent Camping USA campground
at Wolf Creek Landing.
No mater which trip you choose make sure that you come prepared! We suggest that you bring a packed lunch, water, sunscreen, waterproof camera & shoes, a change of clothes, plastic Ziploc bag's and a cooler.
Your 8 mile canoe trip will take you on some 1 and 2 class white water rapids and through a set of falls. Also some calm waters to view the wildlife or enjoy some fishing or take pictures of the scenery. Mild to moderate adventure geared more towards Family Fun. The 8 mile run will end here at Tent Camping USA landing. Approx time 3-5 hrs. $20.00 per canoe and $10.00 per additional person.
Your 15
mile canoe trip will have 1 & 2 class white water rapids
and will go through a set of falls. After the falls there are some calmer waters to go fishing or view wildlife.
After you pass our landing here at Tent Camping USA your excitement really begins into high adventure class 2 &
3 white water rapids and lots of fun. The 15 mile trip ends at our marked 2nd landing 7 miles pass our campground
landing (pick-up point). This trip is geared more towards high adventurist & experienced canoer's. Moderate-High
Adventure. Approx 5-7 hrs. $30.00 per canoe and $15.00 per additional person.
Both the 8 & 15 mile trips departs Tent Camping USA Campground at 9:30 a.m. daily and the 8 mile run has a 2ND departure at 1:00 p.m. Please arrive at our office at least 30 minutes prior to departure times. There are no time limits on your canoe rental, but we request that you return to our landing's prior to dusk.
Now that you are all excited, I have to share all of the rules and legal stuff. Everyone renting a canoe will be required to sign a waiver form(s) and there are no exceptions! Life vest's are mandatory as per State & Local laws & must be worn by all passengers at all times in the canoe or tube. Life vests are supplied at no extra charge (if they are returned). $5.00 charge for each vest not returned.
Canoe rental's will require either a credit card or cash deposit of $250.00 per canoe and a valid driver's license. This deposit will be refunded after the canoe is returned and inspected. All canoes are inspected while you are present and prior to leaving the property as normal wear and tear applies to your deposit. If we suspect signs of misuse or abuse to the canoe then your deposit will not be refunded.
We do offer a variety of discounted rates for groups of 6 or more, family reunions, church and civic organizations, company picnics, weddings, etc. Please call us for more details.

WARNING:
The French Broad River is a fast current moving river with class 1-3 rapids. Therefore all persons renting a canoe
or tube with young children should be aware of the danger's involved with a white water river. We recommend that
all children in canoe's or tube's have swimming abilities. LIFE VEST ARE MANDATORY AS PER STATE & LOCAL LAWS.
